During his first visit to Kyiv since Russia's invasion just over one year ago, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg declared defiantly that Ukraine deserves to join the military alliance.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian president, urged Stoltenberg to press for more support from NATO members, including warplanes, artillery, and armored vehicles.
Throughout the war, Stoltenberg has repeated the promise that Ukraine will join NATO one day, though the organization has not set any timelines or pathways.
